Drapes Over Bookshelves

I found this photo at desire to inspire and thought it was a great idea. Using white, sheer curtains over bookcases adds some softness, lets some of the colorful books pop through but also lets a white decor stay crisp, clean and romantic. I also love the contrast from the black table and the whimsy of the crystal chandelier.

Good Design

Desire to Inspire always has great inspirational rooms and pictures. This post in particular caught my eye. I love the warm leather and wood rooms, the dreamy purples and the rooms that use the natural surroundings as the focal point.

Media Room

My long-time beau has always dreamed of having a media room. He sees it as saving money (rent a movie and watch it at home instead of going to the movies) and a great family space. I've always liked the thought of having one but couldn't wrap my head around basing a whole room around a TV and only having a room serve one purpose. This room from Apartment Therapy is perfect for couples who want a media room with multiple purposes. Its a great family room/sitting room, but close the curtains and turn on the projector and its a hip media room. Though my man and I don't have plans on having a media room anytime soon (or even living together...) I thought I'd share this for all the other couples out there!

Hardwood Design

I love the wooden floor design featured on a house tour at Apartment Therapy

Call me crazy but I think this what be a totally do-able DIY. Start with unfinished hardwood, two different colored stains and a design.

Fred Flare

Fred Flare has some fun and funny products. You can find everything from bacon scented soap to a cute summery dress. Below are some of my favorites. I've been wanting a glass water bottle and Fred Flare has the perfect one. They also have a cute "early bird" alarm clock. Go on their website to check out more.

Etsy Find Friday

Cutting Edge Stencils has AMAZING and affordable stencils. I love the cameo design in white on the khaki walls. I also love the peony design and the large damask. Gorgeous.

Natural Tablescapes

These tablescapes from Apartment Therapy are beautiful. I think that any of these would be great at an outdoor wedding and I think its would be great to make mini terrariums as party favors. I think that keeping the plates, the table cloth and runner and nice neutral (like white) really makes these centerpieces stand out.

Match Your Shoes with Your Man's

I fell in love with this wedding from Southern Weddings' blog. I thought the groom's and the bride's matching yellow shoes were adorable and made a great photograph. Below are other matching shoes that you and your guy could wear. Converse shoes from Zappos and heels from Asos.

Gorgeous Wedding Dress

I love this wedding dress that Southern Weddings featured on their blog. Its simple, flattering, timeless and gorgeous.

Bikes

Apartmenttherapy had a great article on stylish ways to store your bikes. I've been considering getting a bike for a while and i think this pink one (bottom) from Target is adorable (and has good reviews...)

Etsy Find Friday

I love sweetgrassmill's shop. Their feather pieces are amazing. They offer necklaces, hair clips, head bands, boutonnieres, wedding pieces and other feather accessories. My current obsession is their hair clips. I think they are subtle enough for day time, but they also make a great statement.
