Drapes Over Bookshelves

I found this photo at desire to inspire and thought it was a great idea. Using white, sheer curtains over bookcases adds some softness, lets some of the colorful books pop through but also lets a white decor stay crisp, clean and romantic. I also love the contrast from the black table and the whimsy of the crystal chandelier.

Good Design

Desire to Inspire always has great inspirational rooms and pictures. This post in particular caught my eye. I love the warm leather and wood rooms, the dreamy purples and the rooms that use the natural surroundings as the focal point.

Media Room

My long-time beau has always dreamed of having a media room. He sees it as saving money (rent a movie and watch it at home instead of going to the movies) and a great family space. I've always liked the thought of having one but couldn't wrap my head around basing a whole room around a TV and only having a room serve one purpose. This room from Apartment Therapy is perfect for couples who want a media room with multiple purposes. Its a great family room/sitting room, but close the curtains and turn on the projector and its a hip media room. Though my man and I don't have plans on having a media room anytime soon (or even living together...) I thought I'd share this for all the other couples out there!
